brushes they control with their mouth.
By the touch of a button, the drawing board with the canvas attached
moves up, down, or to the sides.
In this manner, Joni and her colleagues can reach all parts of the
painting area
without needing someone to re-position the work for them.

SPECIFICATIONS
MODEL DRM-L: It is large
enough to straddle a hospital or regular twin bed; it measures: 49" wide
by 25" deep, and its clearance height adjusts from 25" to 37". The Standard
Drawing Board (for this model) measures 48(horizontal) X 24(vertical)
inches. Smaller or larger boards are available on request.
Boards are 1" thick, built lightweight and strong
with a redwood frame, mahogany plywood cover, and Styrofoam filler.
MODEL DRM-S: It is 36" wide, instead
of 49", and its Drawing Board measures 36"x 24". It will not straddle
a bed, but will do well where space is of concern.
The two models tilt electrically for use in any position,
while sitting or while reclining. (We have not tested it on patients who
are bed prone, but we know that it would work from a flat position).
They tilt in a 75 deg range without adjustments, and 120 with 3 adjustments.
For example, it can go from 30 deg away from the user, to 45 degrees towards
the user, or 45-30, or 15-60 (this would be the best it could be for bed-prone
users, without further adjustments or adaptations). The tilting and the
X-Y motion of the drawing board are electrically controlled by the user
from sensitive micro-switches which we provide.
The micro-switch box is mounted on a Telescoping "L" Support (Part EA-LTS)
which we provide. The Motorized Easel has provision for two of these supports.
Shaped like an inverted "L", the TELESCOPING "L" SUPPORT is designed with
THREE TELESCOPING ELEMENTS. It serves as a FULLY ADJUSTABLE X-Y-Z DIMENSIONAL
SUPPORT for the switch control box (provided) and can also accommodate
paint accessories, such as the MULTI-TOOL CARROUSEL HOLDER and two or
three
mouthsticks (sold apart), or
the PAINT & PALETTE STATION. The TELESCOPING "L" SUPPORT fits
on either side of the Motorized Easel.
The machine is shipped partially disassembled. Easy to follow
assembly and use instructions are provided.
CONSTRUCTION: Steel and aluminum frame, with life durable
powder electro-coating, and choice of gray or black color. The Drawing
Board is made light-weight of wood with honey-comb construction.
ELECTRICAL INFORMATION: 12 VDC at control switches.
Tri-Power: Easel connects to either 115 or 230 VAC household current,
or it can also be connected to a wheelchair battery.
