Subject: Reading
stands
Hi! My brother is a C3-C4 quadriplegic. He
spends a fair bit of time reading
while lying in bed. He uses a regular book
stand that is placed on a table
that slides over his bed. He turns the pages
using a mouthstick. Is there
any type of device (similar to a book stand)that
would allow him to put his
mouthstick down when not in use, and then
pick it up again when he wanted to
resume reading? I guess it would have to be
a book stand with a hook or clip
or something where a mouthstick could be attached.
If you carry any such
device or could let me know where to look
for it, I'd greatly appreciate it.
Alternatively, is there any other device that
would make it easy for quads
to read by themselves while lying horizontally
in bed?
Any help or advice is appreciated. Thanks a
lot.
Sincerely,
Nirvan Wijesekera
